Selected Models of Communication and Persuasion
Short Description:
This course serves as a natural continuation of the discussion on information economics—particularly the strategic transmission of information—initiated in the graduate course Game Theory B. We will explore a selection of canonical papers on disclosure, cheap talk, and Bayesian persuasion, alongside recent contributions to these areas. The course will also highlight connections to related theoretical frameworks, including mechanism design and information design. Level and Suggested Prior Knowledge This is an advanced MA–PhD level course, intended for students with prior exposure to information economics and a degree of mathematical maturity. The ideal background includes material covered in Game Theory A and Game Theory B, offered in the first year of the master’s program
